Group planning for childminders

Every month through the year I write group planning for the children in my care.

Group planning is mostly aimed at children over the age of 3 who want to be involved in group activities… however I will always adapt activities to ensure all children can join in and have fun.

I write my group planning in 2 ways – continuous provision planning to cover the month and EYFS linked planning for each week.

This e-book contains my group planning for 2011 – I have also included some information about the EYFS review and how it will affect planning next year.

E-book 58 – Group planning 2011 is priced at £4.99 and listed on my www.knutsfordchildminding.co.uk website.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish my customers and friends a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

Talk soon, Sarah xx

2012 Planning Calendar

I have just finished updating my 2012 Multicultural Planning Calendar! Yay me!

It's a huge job and one I tend to put off but a few childminders have been asking me about it so I thought I had better get it finished.

It is a 70+ page resource - e-book number 22 on my Knutsford Childminding website and priced at £2.99.

It features quite a few new activity ideas for the multicultural and diverse year ahead.

It will hopefully provide inspiration for parents and all early years professionals including nurseries, pre-schools and, of course, childminders to plan a range of exciting and interesting activities for the children in their care through the coming year.

The calendar is used by childminders in England, Scotland and Wales as the information written for each month is relevant to all early years children, regardless of country of origin.

I am aware that the EYFS requirements are under review and will be changing. I intend to update my e-books in 2012 when the new wording is finalised. In the meantime I am still writing for the current Eyfs 2008.
